WELCOME TO OUR SMART FACTORY OF THE FUTURE

  1. INTRODUCTION

Our factory in Texas is leading the way in smart manufacturing. It is built with sustainability and responsibility at its core. Let me take you on a tour of our 5G Smart Factory and show you how it is designed for efficiency and environmental care.

  1. BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

The industrial sector is responsible for a large portion of global greenhouse gas emissions. To meet climate goals, businesses must change how they operate. Advanced tank manufacturing techniques are being integrated to improve sustainability and reduce environmental impact. Our 5G Smart Factory in Texas is an example of how technology can help reduce emissions while maintaining high production standards.

  1. KEY FEATURES OF THE SMART FACTORY

3.1 RENEWABLE ENERGY USE

One of the first things you’ll notice is our 1,646 solar panels. These panels generate 1,030 MWh of renewable energy, covering 17% of the factory’s power needs. They are also 30% more efficient than regular solar panels.

3.2 WATER CONSERVATION

Texas has a hot climate, so we have installed a 40,000-gallon rainwater collection system. This system, along with high-efficiency water fixtures, helps reduce water use by 75% compared to similar buildings.

3.3 ENERGY EFFICIENT COOLING

To lower power usage during peak hours, we use thermal ice storage tanks. These tanks create ice at night when electricity is cheaper. During the day, the ice is used to cool the factory, reducing energy consumption.

3.4 ECO-FRIENDLY CONSTRUCTION

We made sure 98% of the construction waste from our factory was recycled instead of going to landfills. We are also working to get top environmental certifications, like LEED Gold and LEED Zero Carbon, which recognize buildings that meet high sustainability standards.

3.5 SUPPORT FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES

To further reduce carbon emissions, we provide free charging stations for employees with electric vehicles, making their commute more eco-friendly.

  1. SMART TECHNOLOGY FOR EFFICIENT OPERATIONS
  • 5G CONNECTIVITY: Inside the factory, everything is connected through secure 5G technology. This allows us to automate logistics, assembly, packing, and product handling. Autonomous carts and drones are used for surveillance and monitoring.
  • AUGUMENTED REALITY FOR MAINTENANCE: Instead of keeping maintenance experts on-site all the time, we use AR headsets. These allow our team to connect with experts remotely and get step-by-step guidance, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • VIRTUAL REALITY FOR TRAINING: Our employees receive training through VR. This allows them to learn from experts in our other smart factory in Estonia without needing to travel, saving time and resources.
  • AUTOMATION AND ROBOTICS: We use robots for tasks like unpacking and material handling. This has reduced the time spent on these tasks by 50%, allowing employees to focus on more important work.
  1. CONCLUSION

We are dedicated to improving efficiency and lowering pollution. As part of the Exponential Roadmap initiative, we aim to cut global emissions by half by 2030. The digital sector has a small carbon footprint but has the potential to help reduce emissions worldwide.

Our smart factory shows how industries can use technology to improve business while protecting the environment. This is just the beginning of a future where smart factories lead the way in both innovation and environmental responsibility.
